TradeCast featured at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas

The organization of the 2017 NAB Show has selected Dutch startup TradeCast as one of thirty startups worldwide to present itself at the 2017 NAB Show, the world’s largest trade show for innovation in television, film and media. The NAB Show (National Association of Broadcasters) will be held from the 22nd to the 27th of April in Las Vegas, Nevada and is the destination for debuting leading new techniques for creating and distributing content.

From the most advanced film cameras, drones and VR glasses to the hottest platforms for content distribution, the NAB Show is the destination worldwide for innovation in digital distribution and the creation of content. The NAB Show is also the place where thought leaders in film, television, gaming, mobile and video come to establish the future of content creation.

From CES to NAB

TradeCast was approached to participate in the 2017 NAB Show by Sprockit, the organization that connects startups and market leaders in the television world at the NAB Show. That happened at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January. Harry Glazer, Sprockit founder and CEO, spotted TradeCast on the show floor. TradeCast was there because of the Dutch economic trade mission, organized by StartupDelta and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. With its unique, all-in-one platform for starting your own online TV channels, TradeCast was chosen as one of thirty startups worldwide to showcase its innovation at the 2017 NAB Show.

Harry Glazer, founder and CEO of Sprockit, is enthusiastic about the opportunities for startups at the 2017 NAB Show: “We bring major companies and startups to the same level, because both have something the other wants or needs. The participating startups this year are the best of the best in their respective expertise. And their opportunities are huge: every year startups raise tens of millions of dollars by partnering up with the companies they meet at the NAB Show.”

Yillmaz Schoen, founder and CEO of TradeCast: “For us, presenting ourselves at the biggest television trade show in the world is a milestone in itself. That we’ve been handpicked by the NAB and can be a part of a very select group of startups that is changing the media world, is something else entirely. I see this as a reward for all the hard work done by our team. Participating in the NAB Show has already opened many doors for us: in the last weeks we’ve had a number of discussions in the United States with companies like Fox, Samsung and Verizon, that have shown interest in TradeCast. There’s a huge, worldwide shift happening in the traditional television world and our unique, end-to-end solution can not only accelerate this process, but also increase revenue for lots of different companies.”
